Thankyou :)
When I started Digistar and was deciding whether I really wanted to do this I knew I was taking a risk, would it pay off? Could I really design clothing? All of these questions running through my head while I was deciding whether to invest a significant amount of cash into the first sample. I must’ve been talking about it for days because at some point my mum said to me “why don’t you just start it”. This was the push I needed, the “fuck it, we ball” moment if you will. I immediately put everything into action, samples ordered, Instagram account setup and website in production.
It's been a few months since the first hoodies were shipped out. The fact that I was able to ship out just one of my hoodies was an achievement in itself, but having multiple orders truly is a feeling unlike any other. I had created something that people loved enough to not only purchase but also wear. I personally use clothing as a way of expressing myself and my interests, so I take pride in knowing people feel comfortable doing the same with the pieces I design. I'm still learning my own style and am constantly evolving in my fashion sense, I hope to incorporate everything I learn into my pieces for Digistar.
I will admit though, like most creative fields I have suffered from a bit of burn out. Since I decided to go ahead with everything back in November 2024 I had been working on Digistar every single day up until the hoodies released in May. I don't want to just keep pushing pieces just for the sake of it, I want to create simply for the love of it and as I have learnt in my twenty-two years of living, love takes dedication and patience. I'm going to pour myself into this next collection, but first I'm going to take a little break and put my efforts into expanding my marketing and web development skills.
Love to all that take the time to read this <3
